Wren Park Primary School : After School Badminton Club

This session provides an opportunity for young children to try a new sport. It will focus on learning skills needed for badminton. The children will be introduced to grips, technique, the shots needed for the game, scoring and play lots of fun games.

All the current sessions are led by Donna Kellogg MBE, a former professional badminton player, an Olympian who represented Team Great Britain at the Sydney Olympics 2000, Athens Olympics 2004, and Beijing Olympics 2008. Additionally Donna is a World, European and Comonwealth Games Medallist and her first experience of the sport was at a primary school badminton club in Derby.

The School club is organised for children that attend Wren Park Primary School Only. This block of classes it is open to pupils in Year 3 - Year 6.

All rackets will be provided by the coach and no prior experience of the sport is required.

Cost: £38.50 (£5.50 per class)
